(*) A student volunteer will be in the center area of the baggage claim section of the airport to meet and gather participants for this shuttle. The volunteer will arrive approximately 1 hour prior to shuttle departure. Our volunteer will be wearing a UM 2003 Conference T-shirt and will have a UM 2003 Conference sign. The section of the baggage claims area where the student will be located is the area between USAirways baggage claims and the baggage claims of the other Airlines. When you arrive at Pittsburgh International Airport, you will leave the plane and board a tram which will take you to the baggage claim area. This center section of the baggage claim area is where you would enter from the tram.
(**) The 4:45 shuttle will also be stopping in Oakland near the SIS building. It will arrive approximately 30-45 minutes after its departure from the airport (approximately 5:15-5:30). Please note that it's arrival in Oakland is dependent on traffic. You can board the bus in Oakland if you prefer for those who are already in Oakland or those who are arriving early.
SIS can be reached from the Pittsburgh International Airport by city bus 28X that runs from the airport directly to Carnegie Mellon University campus. Ask the driver to stop the bus at the Carnegie Museum. This map shows how to get to SIS from there.
(**)It is a 6 passenger limousine. The driver will be holding a sign which reads "Classic Limousine" on top and "Michael Pazzani" underneath
If you plan to use conference shuttle to go from Pittsburgh International Airport to Johnstown Conference Center or back, please, contact Heather Frye(hfrye (at) peoplepc.com) and let her know your flight arrival/departure time. You will get a confirmation and a time of your shuttle departure.
If you arrive to Johnstown by plain, train or bus (see schedule below), please, inform Sergey Sosnovsky (sas15 (at) pitt.edu) about your arrival time.
