This application helps users learn about and understand complex data structures by

Providing complete code samples for all operations associated with the structure
Tracing program execution line by line as it performs operations
Describing what the code is doing for each line of execution
Depicting graphically the current state of the data structure at each step of program execution
Letting users personalize the experience by manipulating the structure at their discretion

1. Verify the System Requirements

Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 5.0 or later must be installed as a plugin with your browser.
The resolution of your display should be at least 1024x768, since the application requires 900x625 pixels.
The application was tested with Firefox version 1.5 and Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6.0.

2. Choose Your Application Settings

A. Choose a Data Structure	Binary Tree	Cannot be changed from a running application; you must return to this selection page to change the data structure.
	B-Tree	Cannot be changed from a running application; you must return to this selection page to change the data structure.

B. Choose a Programming Language	C Language	Can be changed at any time from a running application.
	Java Language	Can be changed at any time from a running application.

C. Choose a User Level	Novice	Provides the most verbose, line-by-line output, describing virtually all lines of execution at some level of detail. Can be changed at any time from a running application.
	Experienced	Provides a moderate amount of output, and it describes operations in less detail than the Novice level. Can be changed at any time from a running application.
	Expert	Provides little output, presenting only those messages produced by the code for the structure itself. Can be changed at any time from a running application.
