Instructions for submitting workshop proposals (see Workshop Schedules and following links to individual calls for participation) The final, fifth day of SIGIR 2001(September 13, 2001) is used to hold one-day workshops. Submissions describing proposed workshops (up to 1,000 words) should include the theme and goal of the workshop, planned activities, the maximum number of participants, the selection process for participants, and a list of potential participants. The submission should include a one-paragraph CV for each organizer, describing relevant qualifications and experience. After the workshop, organizers are required to provide an article for the SIGIR Forum summarizing the workshop. Workshop proposals must be sent as an email attachment in PDF or postscript to Susan Gauch, Workshops Chair, [see conference committee web page] by 28 February 2001.
