Policies by the US federal government regarding information have very deep roots and touch most areas of our lives. Broadly construed, these policies include areas as disparate as telecommunications, intellectual property, and depository libraries.
In this course, we will be surveying this vast intellectual landscape. In particular, we will be considering the impact of ``convergence'' on information policy. This is a rapidly changing field. As a result, a significant fraction of the readings for this course are on the Internet. Click here for the Internet Resources for this course - this page will be modified during the course.
