Biographical Sketch: An Xiaomi is an associate professor in Archives College Renmin University of China, and a doctoral student at University of Liverpool in Liverpool University Centre for Archive Studies. She has engaged in teaching and research in scientific and technical records management for more than 10 years . She has published more 60 academic papers, editor-in-chief 3 books , editor-in-assistance 2 books. Among which 6 items has got ministry and national level awards. The Urban Development Archives Work Guide chiefly edited and written by her was the first of its kind in China. She specialises in theories and practices of scientific and technical records, particular contributions to records of urban development.
PhD Project: Her research focuses specifically on records of urban development in China, its comparative independence from other branches of archives work and the need for an integrated information framework to serve the needs of both the creators and users of the records. The aim is to construct a model framework for such a constituency using client-oriented integrated functional approaches as case studies.
