Forbes Quadrangle is about a twenty-minute cab ride from the Pittsburgh Hilton, where the Society of American Archivists Annual Meeting will be held. Approximate taxi fare from the Hilton to Forbes Quadrangle is $7.00.
Bus
Those wishing to use public transportation will need to walk a block from the Hilton to the bus stop at the corner of Forbes and Stanwix Streets (in front of the McDonald’s). From this stop, a number of buses run to the University of Pittsburgh campus. Routes 61A, 61B, and 61C stop a block from Forbes Quadrangle, at Forbes Avenue and Schenley Drive. Routes 71A, 71C, and 71D stop two blocks away at Fifth Avenue and Bigelow Boulevard. Please note that returning to the Hilton, all of these buses stop at Fifth Avenue and Bigelow Boulevard. Bus fare is $1.25; exact change is required. The bus ride from the Hilton to Forbes Quadrangle takes approximately twenty minutes.
