Biographical Sketch: Archivist/Records Manager for the New York Public Library since 1985. Adjunct Associate Professor at Queens College (CUNY) where I teach both an archives and a records management course. Formerly taught at the School of Library Service, Columbia University, 1983-1992. Currently serving as Treasurer of the Society of American Archivists.

Research Interests: Recordkeeping in early 20th century; prosopography of 200 NYPL branch librarians; and use of public libraries. Recent publications include: "Something Interesting Will Come of It: Reading Choices of New York City Children in 1910" (forthcoming); "How Archival Photos Are Used?" Views; "The New York Public Library," The Encyclopedia of the City of New York; and "Children in the Library: Lewis Hine's Photographs for the Child Welfare Exhibit of 1911." Biblion.
