The student chapter of the American Library Association (ALA) is making plans to attend the ALA Annual Conference in Washington, D.C., June 26 - 30, 1998. In order to promote a spirit of professionalism and camaraderie, and to make our dollars stretch, we are coordinating travel and housing plans for all students who wish to participate.
If you are planning to attend the conference and wish to be included in these plans, e-mail Judy Albert at jalbert@sis.pitt NO LATER THAN MARCH 24, 1998. When we have an idea of numbers, we will be able to make more definite preparations. If you are making your own arrangements, but would still like to be informed, e-mail anyway!
YOU MUST COMPLETE YOUR OWN REGISTRATION FOR THE CONFERENCE!
Pittsburgh's student chapter is not responsible for individual conference registrations. You can register using the form in your January issue of "American Libraries." Extra copies are available beside the mailboxes on the6th floor. Registration can also be done online at the ALA Website http://www.ala.org/events/dc98.
Early Bird Registration ($30) ends March 13
Advanced registration ($35) ends June 5.
This is YOUR professional organization. Get involved!
