During the construction of the Cathedral of Learning,
Chancellor John Bowman said that the Commons Room should
be “the heart and soul of the building.” Today,
the Commons Room is a place where students, teachers,
and members of the Pittsburgh community gather to learn,
teach, and discuss issues of the past, present, and
future. It is a common place of enlightenment
and an essential part of the Cathedral of Learning. |
