The Panelists include:

  • Karen Gracy, Professor/Moving Image Archives & Preservation, University of Pittsburgh

  • Miriam Meislik, Archivist/Photograph Curator, Archives Service Center

This event will be an informal discussion between Archives Professionals and MLIS students. It will be a great opportunity to ask any questions about working in the field!

Here are a few issues we would like to address:

  • A typical day in the life...
  • How they arrived in their current position
  • How much experience they have had in the field
  • The professional organizations they suggest joining
  • Reasons they enjoy their work
  • Their educational background
  • What the most effective job search tool: networking or traditional job search?

Refreshments will be served. Hope to see you there!
